In Mueda, the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) acknowledged the performance of the Local Force in the fight against terrorist groups in Cabo Delgado. 

The Head of State was speaking at a meeting with members of the Local Force, on the sidelines of Nyusi's visit to the Northern Operational Theater, the highlight of which was the 12th Ordinary Meeting of the National Defense Council.

According to the President of the Republic, the Local Force, in coordination with the FDS, the Rwandan military and the Southern African Development Community Mission (SAMIM), has managed to inflict heavy casualties on the enemy.
