On September 12, at 5:30 p.m., the book launch will take place at the Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo Puppet Theater (or Essay on the Descriptive Mechanics of the Desertification of Men)by Jofredino Faife, published by Imprensa Nacional (Portugal), as a result of winning the 6th edition of the IN/Eugénio Lisboa Prize (2022).

 The Puppet Theater will be presented by Duarte Azinheira, executive member of the Board of Directors of Imprensa Nacional - Casa da Moeda.

 “With a wide range of unforgettable characters, Puppet Theater is a rare literary proposal, a dystopian narrative with a tendency towards science fiction, in which the boundaries between order and bewilderment, madness and sanity and even reality and fantasy are blurred."

Jofredino Faife lives and works in Maputo. He is a trained pedagogue. He has worked as a researcher, lecturer and head of the Education Sciences and Psychology department at the Pedagogical University. He is an education specialist working in the non-governmental sector. He is the winner of the 2009 Rui de Noronha Foundation Prize (Memories of a letter carrierunpublished) and the TDM Literature Prize - 2012 (Daughter of a lesser godAEMO). In 2022 he won the Imprensa Nacional/Eugénio Lisboa Prize for his work Puppet Theater (or Essay on the Descriptive Mechanics of the Desertification of Men).
