The Portuguese Airline (TAP) and the Civil Aviation Pilots Union (SPAC) have reached an agreement that will reduce the financial impact on the company, within the scope of the lawsuit filed by the structure about a subsidy and supplementary aid.
"ATAP and the SPAC have reached an agreement in the context of the legal action brought by the SPAC concerning the supplementary meal allowance and the supplementary per diem, which will be subject to ratification at the pilots' meeting," the airline announced in a statement.
The agreement also foresees the resumption, starting in September, of negotiations for a new Company Agreement (AE), "which we hope to conclude in the coming months.
TAP classified the agreement as "advantageous for both parties," underlining that it will "reduce the financial impact" on the company.
"We have thus achieved an important milestone on the road to social peace, committing TAP and SPAC to prioritize dialogue as a means of resolving any disagreements and collective conflicts," he pointed out.
According to the same note, TAP and SPAC "are confident" that this could be a decisive step towards the normalization of their relations. (Lusa)
