The Troika of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Cooperation Body on Politics, Defense and Security is meeting this Tuesday at an Extraordinary Summit in the Namibian capital of Windhoek.

According to Radio Mozambique, the Extraordinary SADC Troika Summit will assess the political and security situation in the region, including regional efforts to combat terrorism in Cabo Delgado.

The Organ Troika is currently chaired by the President of the Republic of Namibia, Hage Geingob, and also includes South Africa and Zambia.

The President, Filipe Nyusi, will be represented by the Minister of National Defense, Cristóvão Chume, who will be accompanied by senior officials from different state institutions.
