Russia accuses US of bribing ICC to order Putin's arrest

Rússia acusa EUA de subornar TPI para ordenar prisão de Putin

The deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, today accused the United States of bribing the International Criminal Court (ICC) to order the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I remind you that this year the budget of that special court has increased by 24 million euros. It can be interpreted however you like, but in essence it looks like a bribe from the US authorities," said Dmitry Medvedev in a speech at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

The former Russian president emphasized that this bribe was aimed at promoting "anti-Russian cases linked to the conflict in Ukraine". (Notícias ao Minuto)
