REVIMO atinge 1,2 mil milhões de meticais em obrigações fiscais

The company Rede Viária de Moçambique (REVIMO), responsible for the construction, maintenance and operation of several national roads, has reached 1.2 billion meticais in tax obligations paid to the government over the last five years.

The information is contained in a recent presentation on the performance of REVIMO's activities since its implementation in 2020, quoted by AIM.

In the period under review, the same document states that in terms of job creation, REVIMO hired 640 workers, of whom 58% were female and the rest male.

REVIMO's main object is the construction, maintenance and operation, under a toll system, of roads and bridges and their related infrastructures, built or to be built.

It currently has three shareholders, namely the Roads Fund, which owns just over 68%; KUHANHA - which is the pension fund of the Bank of Mozambique, and the National Social Security Institute (INSS), each of which owns just over 14%.

The concessionaire has already managed to set up in five provinces, namely Sofala, Manica, Gaza, Maputo-Cidade and Maputo-Província, with around 16 tolls, and also has a maintenance and user assistance center in each of these provinces.
