The circulation of people and goods on the road between the capital city and Liúpo district in Nampula was re-established this Tuesday with the placement of an emergency metallic platform over the Mururo river, Liúpo district.
Secretary of State, Mety Gondola, who went on Tuesday to the village of Mururo, eight kilometers from the village-cede of Liúpo to see the current stage of the bridge, said that the work was done in a timely manner.
It should be noted that the rainfall caused by last week's tropical storm Ana caused the collapse of the aqueduct over the Mururo River.
Mety Gondola mentioned that, Nampula province will realize the stage of other bridges and pontoons damaged by the storm
Meanwhile, the Secretary of State called attention to compliance with the limits on the tonnage of vehicles traveling on the roads, a major factor in the non-resistance of the bridges.
For his part, ANE's Delegate, Celso Mabjaia pointed to supervision in the construction of infrastructure as being essential for quality work.
