The government admits that the infrastructure of the administration of justice bodies destroyed by the terrorist attacks, in Cabo Delgado, will only be rebuilt starting next year.

According to the president of the Supreme Court, Adelino Muchanga, the reconstruction will cover the courts in the districts of Palma and Mocímboa da Praia. As the security situation is still evolving, Muchanga admitted that in the near future, public tenders may be launched for the construction works of the courts.

"We are attentive to the evolution of the situation in the terrain, there are initiatives aimed at restoring the damaged infrastructures. In the scope of the Presidential Initiative "one district one building for the Court", for the next year we already have the indication of the districts of Cabo delgado province, we will start with the construction of new buildings for the functioning of the courts", said the president of the Supreme Court.

However, Muchanga said that the courts in Cabo Delgado continue to process cases amidst the adversity imposed by the terrorists' actions.
