Who are the lawyers behind Reinildo Mandava's transfer to Atlético de Madrid?

The world of soccer goes beyond the pitches on the pitch, the screams of the coaches, and the drumbeats of the fans. There is an endless series of corporate issues that ensure and influence the stage of the sport. From coaching to transfers, there is a lot of role-playing, and a touch of "girly" charm until all the icing is on the cake.

A little more than two weeks ago the specialized sports media reported the possible transfer of the Mozambican player Reinildo Mandava to Atlético de Madrid. This happened one week later, and the MZNews reported.

When the subject is a definitive transfer, one of the most curious questions is the value of the transaction. In the case of the Mozambican, Atlético de Madrid paid around 218 million meticais (three million euros) to Lille from France.

Although the player's qualities "speak" for themselves, the Mozambican international did not parachute into the Spanish club.

The consultancy behind his move to Atlético de Madrid was led by Portuguese law firm Abreu Advogados, represented in Mozambique by JLA Advogados. Despite not being aware of this procedure, JLA Advogados assured MZNews that European laws were applied to the transfer, and therefore there was no need to notify Mozambique.

MZNews tried to contact Abreu Advogados today without success.

The firm's team was coordinated by partner Fernando Veiga Gomes, co-coordinator of the Sports Law area.

Mandava made his debut for Atlético de Madrid in Sunday's (06) match against Barcelona, with a 4-2 defeat.
