Around 314,000 tourists could enter the country during the festive season, the National Director of Tourism, Edson Valá, revealed today at a press conference.
To this end, Valá said that several actions are currently taking place within the scope of the national well-serve program, with emphasis on well-serve campaigns, visits to accommodation establishments, which consist of the length of good practices in the country.
"And at this time of year, in terms of the flow of guests, 314,000 guests are expected throughout the country," said Edson Vala, highlighting the preference for resorts located by the coast.
"We're talking about confirmed bookings," said the source, adding that this figure could reach 350,000, also taking into account the recent introduction of Maputo/Lisbon and Vilanculos/Joanesburg/Vilanculos flights.
In terms of occupancy rate, the source said that it is currently at 85%, with some developments already at 100%.
Edson Valá was speaking as part of the launch of "Operation Hope - Festive Season 2023/2024", organized by the CTA and partners.
