The country's major cities are seriously struggling with a lack of transportation, which is causing serious problems for the mobility of people and goods. Maputo city, in particular, is reinventing itself to bring solutions to this crisis.
The project of a transport system with suspended vehicles, called FUTRAN, has recently entered the terminology of urban transport in Mozambican society.
First announced by the president of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Mobility and Parking Company, João Ruas. This announcement raised debate in various forums including social networks, therefore Eneas Comiche came to the public, this Thursday, to ensure that the project will be realized.
"We haven't made any launch yet, you've learned about it through I don't know which ways, and you've started to spread the word, but it's going to happen, we're going to have the FUTRAN project by the end of 2022 or early 2023 at the latest. We'll be in a position to pass on details to you when the time comes, so it's good not to get ahead of ourselves before we actually know what the subsequent steps will be," Comiche told the newspaper "O País".
