The Association of Health and Solidarity Professionals of Mozambique (APSUSM) announces the resumption of the strike from April 29 in order to pressure the government to comply with the agreements signed in June and August 2023..

In a press release, APSUSM states that after negotiations the group decided to suspend the strike on the basis of the agreement with the government, which has not been fulfilled for two years.

Among the main points to be contested are the regularization of overtime pay, improved working conditions and a solution to the shortage of medicines and food in the health units.
