Mozambique is taking part in the 65th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair - ZITF 2025, from April 21 to 26, 2025, in Bulawayo, Republic of Zimbabwe.
The fair is organized by the ZITF Company and takes place under the theme, "Industrialization: Creating an Integrated Economic Scenario", with the aim of showcasing cutting-edge advances in manufacturing technology, agriculture and value-added services, emphasizing the need for a robust and competitive base, according to a press release.
Mozambique's participation in the fair is being coordinated by the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports, IP (APIEX,IP), with the aim of promoting investment and business opportunities by showcasing the country's economic potential and export potential.
To this end, a Business Delegation made up of 27 representatives from the Agriculture, Transport & Logistics, Trade and Services sectors, among others, is in Mozambique to explore business opportunities and establish partnerships in strategic areas for Mozambique's development. The Delegation also includes representatives from various public institutions, in particular the Ministry of Economy, through the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports and the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (IPEME, IP); (ii) the Ministry of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, through the National Institute for the Development and Management of Fishing Infrastructures (INFRAPESCAS, IP) and the Beira Fishing Port, among other institutions.
As in previous editions, the exhibition is being held in the Pavilion of the company Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique,EP (CFM,EP) as part of a partnership aimed at ensuring greater visibility for Mozambique's participation by concentrating companies and institutions in the same space, as well as rationalizing costs.
On the sidelines of the fair, the "Mozambique-Zimbabwe Investment and Business Roundtable" will be held on April 24, 2025, under the slogan "Accelerating Trade and Investment between Mozambique and Zimbabwe by Strengthening Partnerships", with the aim of publicizing the opportunities of the Mozambique-Zimbabwe Preferential Market.
The Round Table is an initiative of the Ministry of Economy, through APIEX, IP, in partnership with the Mozambican High Commission in the Republic of Zimbabwe, the National Organization for Trade Development and Promotion (ZIM TRADE) and the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA), both from the Republic of Zimbabwe.
It should be noted that APIEX,IP and the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in May 2023 with the aim of strengthening the promotion of investment flows and increasing exports between the two countries, through the exchange of information, the promotion of business missions, participation in fairs and other events.
