Sadio Mané's cousin tells what led the forward to lose his temper by assaulting Leroy Sané

Primo de Sadio Mané conta o que levou o avançado a perder a cabeça agredindo Leroy Sané

Sadio Mané's cousin has taken to social media to explain what led the striker to attack Leroy Sané after Bayern Munich's defeat by Manchester City.

According to the "Mais futebol" portal, the family member also says that the ex-Liverpool player then apologized in front of the entire locker room and it was this gesture that led the Bavarian club to back down on its intention to fire the player immediately.

Officially, Bayern Munich have only issued a short statement saying that Sadio Mané will not be included in the squad for the Hoffenheim game "due to bad behavior" and that he will also be fined. The Bild newspaper reports that the fine will exceed 500,000 euros and will be the highest in the history of the German club.

The disagreement between the two players began on the pitch, in the 83rd minute, when Leroy Sané addressed Sadio Mané. According to Sadio Mané's cousin, who is a journalist for the French newspaper Brut FR and Taggat and has a close relationship with the forward, the German international insulted the Senegalese player, who later lost his temper. Pape Mahmoud Gueye, Sané's cousin, reveals that Leroy Sané, who is German but the son of a Nigerian father, is said to have called his teammate "m**** nigger".

Sané's relative also guarantees that the striker apologized to Sané and all his teammates in the locker room after the assault. "Mané, who apologized to his teammates, has been suspended for one match against Hoffenheim. His future at Bayern is not in jeopardy," wrote Pape Mahmoud Gueye in a Twittter post.

The truth is that Sadio Mané was even on the outs with Bayern Munich. According to the German press, manager Oliver Khan and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met to discuss the possible consequences and brought the two players into the conversation. Mané, who had already apologized in the locker room, apologized directly to Sané in front of the two managers and, according to Sport1, it was this gesture that prevented his immediate dismissal.
