The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, visited Tete province last Friday to assess the damage caused by the passage of tropical depression Ana.
Upon his arrival, Filipe Nyusi visited the bridge over the Revúbuè river, having promised to restore the infrastructure as soon as possible, to ensure the circulation of people and goods from Tete to Moatize and vice versa, including to other quadrants of the continent.
"We need, first, to talk to the new Minister of Public Works, Housing, and Water Resources to survey the needs for this," he said, speaking to journalists.
He then visited the Chimbonde resettlement center, in the Matundo neighborhood (Tete city), where he dialogued with the resettled people.
