On Friday (23), the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, called on civil servants and state agents to participate constructively in correcting the irregularities in the current framework of the Single Salary Table (TSU).
The appeal was presented to a group of 50 civil servants and state agents who went to greet the President of the Republic on the occasion of June 23, International Civil Service Day.
The date is celebrated under the slogan "The Success of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) - It Will Require a Fit-for-Purpose African Public Administration to Succeed". The Civil Service has 394,000 civil servants and state agents.
"We call on civil servants and state agents to participate actively and constructively in correcting irregularities without resorting to mechanisms of disorder or blackmail, as we have been seeing in some sectors," Nyusi urged.
Filipe Nyusi reiterated his exhortation to the officials to hang in there, because there are extraordinary steps that must be monitored and followed up.
On the other hand, the Head of State recognized the contribution of each official to the country's development.
International Civil Service Day was declared by the United Nations in 2011 as a way of giving the world an opportunity to reflect on public service and its role in development. (Jornal Notícias)
