Will Smith's Porsche 911 Turbo, which he used for scenes in the movie "Bad Boys" in 1996, will be auctioned next January by Mecum Auctions in Kissimmee (Florida, USA).
At the end of the action movie starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, this 911 makes a chase for a Cobra.
The still pristine Porsche is part of a rare set of 350 vehicles with the same specifications, produced in 1994 for the North American market alone.
The black 911 has traveled 55. 355 km, it features a six-cylinder 3.6 boxer turbo, air-cooled engine with 360 hp and 520 Nm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Visually, the highlight is the classic oversized spoiler and the five-spoke Speedline wheels. Nor is the French license plate "447 DB75" missing on the front and "Bad Bys1" on the rear.
The car comes equipped with air conditioning, radio and cassette player, sunroof, and perforated brake discs.
This 911 Turbo was owned by Michael Bay, director of the movie "Bad Boys," who meanwhile sold it to Pat Sandstone, and subsequently changed hands a few more times before being purchased in 2014 by the Drendel Collection, the car's current owners.
Its rarity, historical importance (it has a certificate of authenticity from Porsche Cars North America) and immaculate condition help justify the fact that it has already won several classic car awards, including at Amelia Island, French Lick Porsche Parade Restoration and Pinehurst Concours d'Elegance.
The car was also on the red carpet at the premiere of the "Bad Boys for Life" sequel in January of last year.
The initial value of the bid has not yet been disclosed.
