Coral Sul floating platform may generate revenue later this year

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Adriano Maleiane, told the journalist that the floating platform Coral Sul FLNG, for natural gas exploration in Area 4 of the Rovuma Basin, will only start generating revenues for the country in the last two months of this year.

"The entry into operation of the floating platform makes the expectation of taxes grow. But for this year, specifically in this project, we are counting on revenues in the last two months," Maleiane told reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony to patent 19230 employees of the Tax Authority in the district of Boane.

Regarding the Ana depression in the central and northern parts of the country, the minister said that it will mess with the revenue collection targets, which for this year are set at about 293 billion meticais.
