The Bank of Mozambique on Thursday inaugurated its branch in the city of Nampula. Inaugurated by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, the infrastructure was built from scratch and occupies an area of 7,500 square meters, whose works began in 2012.
According to the governor of the Bank of Mozambique, Rogério Zandamela, the new branch of the Bank of Mozambique will contribute to consolidate the articulation with credit institutions and financial companies, as well as public entities in Nampula.
"This branch, will also put into circulation in a timely manner and in more appropriate conditions, notes and Metical currency, in addition to being at the service of the economy as a whole," assured Rogério Zandamela.
The building is composed of four floors, where are located, among others, the office and public attendance areas, cafeteria, library, conference room, and a basement with a parking lot.
