The writer Ngoka Maluvana will launch his debut book "Eco do Pedestre Oco" (Echo of the Hollow Pedestrian), on Thursday at the Camões Library - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo, at 6pm. The book is published by Cavalo do Mar publishing house.
The book will be presented by writer and university lecturer Lucílio Manjate, and the reading of excerpts from the book by writer and professor Sangare Okapi.
Ngoka Maluvana, Belisário Tinga's pseudonym, is a promising voice in current Mozambican poetry, for the careful way he works with language, as well as for the way his poetry dialogues with the epigrammatic poetry of Amin Nordine.
Born in 1987, Belisário Tinga published some poems in the press, namely, in the now extinct electronic newspaper Dumbanengue. In his incursion into literature, he has already had some of his texts exhibited in the media library of the BCI.
