The Nampula provincial director of industry and commerce, Alfredo Nampuio guarantees that his sector is working to keep the prices of products stable and that there will be no rupture of foodstuffs until the first quarter of next year.
Quoted by Radio de Moçambique, Alfredo Nampuio who was speaking this Wednesday in Nampula, said at the opening of the economic fair that aims to strengthen the availability in the market of products and provision of services, reduce the pressure of these so that families can spend the festive season with dignity.
The Industry and Commerce authorities in Nampula province point to chicken, eggs, potato, onion, tomato and horse mackerel as being products that suffer a lot of pressure during this festive season.
Alfredo Nampuio said that a similar activity will take place in the cities of Nacala, Angoche, Monapo, and Ilha de Moçambique.
The exhibitors, said that despite the shortage of vegetables, there are products to meet the needs of the population during the festive season.
