Mozambique intends to continue to be a strategic axis of reciprocal connection to Malawi's economy in facilitating trade and simplified and integrated border flow.
According to the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, who spoke on Monday in the city of Lilongwe (Malawi), during the launch of the fifth week of industrialization of SADC, the intention of Mozambique is to also facilitate the economies of the interland countries so that business in the region flows more easily.
"The government is printing a continuous improvement in the iron port systems of Nacala, Beira and Maputo in the customs instances," said the Head of State.
Nyusi stressed that it is essential to speed up the implementation of the regional industrialization process so that SADC countries can begin to recover from the economic recession caused by the pandemic.
To this end, the fifth SADC industrialization week was launched yesterday, under the slogan: "Strengthening productive capacities in phase of the covid-19 pandemic for inclusive and sustainable industrial economy transformation."
