Mozambique wants to expand economic relations at Expo Dubai

Mozambique is participating in Expo Dubai with the theme "Sustainability" and the country will also use its presence to align and expand relations with the United Arab Emirates, beyond the sectors where there is already work.

According to the emissary-general of Mozambique, Miguel Nkaima, this is the third time that the country participates in the world exhibition and, as always, it is guided by the poster themes of each edition. Mozambique's theme focuses on "nature, man and future".

"The theme [chosen for this issue] fits perfectly with our reality, especially in terms of development," in the joint effort between the communities and the government.

The official said that he has good expectations of bilateral relations with the host country, and that the experience he has had there so far guarantees an expansion in cooperation.

"And Mozambique needs this because we want more investment, we want a rational and adequate use of the resources we have," he said.

Expo Dubai was launched on October 1, after being postponed a year due to the covid-19 pandemic. The motto is "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" in three areas: Sustainability, Opportunity and Mobility, which, in the form of petals, converge at Al Wasl Square, considered the "heart" of the world expo.
