Mozambique participates in the SADC Public Accounts Committee Council

A delegation from the Mozambican parliament, is participating since Monday in the SADC Public Accounts Committees Governance and Capacity Building Council Meeting.

The five-day meeting, which takes place in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Public Accounts Commissions, in matters of good governance and transparent management of public finances, oversight and audit of public accounts and the activity of the Day governments.

According to a statement issued by Parliament, Mozambique will share the experience of the Planning and Budget Commission in overseeing the Extractive Industry, highlighting the effectiveness and impact of mining and oil revenues on the lives of communities.

The delegation from the Mozambican parliament is led by the president of the Planning and Budget Committee, António Niquice.
