Today in Maputo, Mozambique signed the first political agreement containing the Terms of Reference for electoral reform, the improvement of the decentralization process, the revision of the Constitutional Council, among others, with the aim of stabilizing the country. political, economic and socio-cultural country.
The "Political Commitment for an Inclusive Dialogue" was signed by the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, by representatives of the signatory political parties with seats in the Assembly of the Republic, Frelimo, Podemos, Renamo and the Democratic Movement of Mozambique, and others with seats in the Provincial Assemblies, the Democratic Union, the National Reconciliation Party (PARENA)., Democratic Revolution (RD), Humanitarian Party of Mozambique (PAHUMO), Social Renewal Party (PARESO) and New Democracy (ND).
"We, the signatory political parties present here, wholeheartedly believe that with the signing... the conditions have been created so that the different political players, different institutions and Mozambican society as a whole can participate in this fundamental and necessary dialogue to map out paths to a Mozambique united in diversity, prosperous and developed," said Albino Forquilha, the president of the Podemos party, representing the ten signatory parties.
He said that the biggest beneficiary of the agreement signed today at the Joaquim Chissano Conference Centre is the Mozambican people, as it can ensure the country's political stability, as well as symbolizing unity in diversity.
