Maior biblioteca flutuante escala cidade de Maputo pela segunda vez

Hundreds of readers from the Mozambican capital flock to the world's largest floating library, which is moored in Maputo harbor. Officially opened this Wednesday, the library has more than five thousand works on a variety of subjects.

This is the second time the Logos Hope has visited Mozambique, the first being in 2016.

This year, the ship also expects to welcome thousands of visitors until January 18, 2024.

For the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materrula, the presence of Logos Hope in the country is above all a great opportunity for free access for Maputo residents and other visitors who choose this city to spend the festive season.

"Don't forget that reading is the easiest and cheapest way to travel," said the minister, quoted by Televisão de Moçambique.

The books cover a range of topics, including science, society and religion.
