Magude will export processed meat to China

The district of Magude, in Maputo province, will be exporting processed beef to China from next year.

The information was released this Wednesday, after the inauguration in that district of a slaughterhouse with international meat processing standards, budgeted at just over 30 million meticais.

The Governor of Maputo province, Júlio Parruque, said on the occasion, quoted by RM, that Magude already needed this infrastructure in view of the district's potential for raising cattle.

The abattoir that has now been inaugurated has the capacity to slaughter 100 animals a day.

It should be noted that Magude is the district with the largest number of cattle in Maputo province, with more than 100,000 head.
