Mozambique Airlines (LAM) will suspend the direct flights between the cities of Maputo, Mozambique, and Cape Town, South Africa, scheduled for April 8.
The company says that all passengers who have purchased tickets for later dates are being informed of the alternatives that have been created for their journeys.
"In the case of passengers who are unable to travel, LAM will reimburse the amount," the company said in a statement.
The company's press release states that the measure "is part of the company's business restructuring plan in order to make its operations more profitable and efficient".
These actions, according to the document, include the evaluation of the performance of the company's routes, which determine the redefinition of the route of its routes.
The company says it will focus its operations on domestic routes for the time being, and Maputo-Joanesburg-Maputo.
