Kanye West is no longer "Kanye". Officially, it is now "Ye".

The 44-year-old American rapper Kanye Omari West obtained court approval earlier this week to officially use "Ye" as his full name, without his middle name and/or nickname.

The songwriter and fashion entrepreneur has been using "Ye" as his Twitter alias for several years. In August he made a court request to use it as his full name. The request was accepted by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams Court on Monday.

Today, a Google (Wikipedia) search on Kanye West the result already points to "Ye, best known for his former on Kanye West". Likewise a search for Ye shows the same result in the first line.

According to the star, "Ye" is the most used word in the bible and means "You." Recall that the rapper's album, released in 2018, is titled "Ye."

The musician recently released his 10th studio album, "Donda," named after his late mother, Donda West. He married Kim Kardashian West about seven years ago. It appears that the couple is getting a divorce, although they remain amicable and have recently been seen together in public.
