Japan promises to support Mozambique in the development of agribusiness and industry

The president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Akihiko Tanaka, said on Wednesday that he would continue to provide assistance aimed at boosting Mozambique's economy, especially in the agribusiness and industrialization sectors..

This was revealed during a meeting that the president of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique (AR), Esperança Bias, had with Tanaka in Tokyo yesterday.

On that occasion, the president of JICA also promised support, especially in the social sectors.
For his part, Bias acknowledged that investments by Japanese companies have contributed to Mozambique's industrialization.

Quoted by AIM, Bias said that the Mozambican government had recently approved the Package of Economic Acceleration Measures (PAE), which includes making it easier for investors to enter and stay in the country, and exempting them from entry visas.
