Indemnizações dos trabalhadores da DINAME e Semoc avaliadas em 43 milhões de meticais

Compensation payments to the workers of the National School Supplies Distributor (DINAME) and the company Sementes de Moçambique (Semoc) will be concluded this month, and according to the Institute for the Management of State Holdings (IGEPE), are valued at 43 million meticais.

Quoted by Notícias, the President of the IGEP Board of Directors, Ana Coanai, clarified that 24 million meticais refers to the costs of the back wages of Semoc employees, and 19 million meticais is compensation for DINAME workers.

She noted that DINAME did not fall under the IGEPE's remit, but the latter was called in by the Ministry of Economy and Finance to intervene. And, as the most urgent measure, it went ahead with compensation "so as not to create a fixed cost of salary payments here."

On the other hand, she assures us that the compensation for the employees of the Correios de Moçambique company has already been completed. She explained that these occurred after the government approved the dissolution of the company.
