IdeiaLab launches platform for skills, leadership and business development

A few days ago in Maputo, IdeiaLab launched the "Boost Academy" project, which essentially aims to develop individual and company management and leadership skills in business matters.

Executive Catalyst and co-founder of IdeiaLab, Tatiana Pereira, said that it is an online study platform for acquiring tools and improving existing skills and talents in people, work groups and businesses.

"We will bring executive management and leadership content in digital format, allowing entrepreneurs, SMEs, managers and leaders to develop their skills and strategically empower their teams from anywhere," said Pereira.

Initially, the Business Management, Strategic Innovation, Transformational Leadership, New Marketing, High Performance Teams and Agile Management courses will be taught. "All these courses will be available from February and throughout the year."

The subjects will be taught with the support of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Nova SBE Executive Education), thus ensuring that the courses have internationally recognized certification.

"Our intention is to bring you content of excellence and quality standards of the best business school of Portugal and one of the best in the world," said the co-founder of IdeiaLab.

On the other hand, Tatiana Pereira warned of the importance of having staff in Mozambique who are trained in management matters and are increasingly prepared to deal with a more demanding market.

The "Academia Boost" project is funded by the European Union (EU) for a period of three years.

The Head of the EU's Infrastructure and Private Sector Development Team in Maputo, Verlee Smet, revealed that the "Academia Boost" project also aims to identify young entrepreneurs or those who have ideas to be developed by an incubator into an SME.

"The project will give young people who dream of becoming entrepreneurs the chance to do so through digital courses. And we bet on the project because it offers innovative courses that are not available in universities," he said.

IdeiaLab will focus on partnerships with the private sector, business associations and collectives of people to award scholarships to disadvantaged people, Tatiana Pereira revealed.
