Government will strengthen INGD's financial capacity

The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, assured this Tuesday that the Government is working on a sovereign insurance to strengthen the financial capacity of the National Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (INGD).

Adriano Maleiane was speaking in Nampula during the Extraordinary Session of the Committee of Emergency Operations (COE), on the occasion of the monitoring of the damages caused by the tropical depression Gombe.

On the occasion, he also said that an insurance is being created for the agricultural area in order to minimize losses in case of calamities.

Meanwhile, Adriano Maleiane said he had identified two problems on the ground, namely the impassability of the roads, which affects commercial activity, and the lack of electricity, which affects the water supply and the proper functioning of schools and hospitals.
