The Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, said this Thursday, in the Assembly of the Republic (AR), that he will continue to adopt realistic measures to ensure the protection of business sectors such as transport, agriculture, fisheries, trade, among others considered vital to the lives of the population facing the recent rise in fuel prices in the country.

The government will continue to adopt realistic measures that ensure the protection of sectors of activity such as transportation, agriculture, fishing, and commerce, among others considered vital to the lives of the population.

According to Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, the objective of these measures is to protect the purchasing power of Mozambican families.

"We will continue to maintain special fuel prices to stimulate agricultural and fishing activity, which will contribute to the greater availability of food in the domestic market," the Prime Minister said.

Meanwhile, the governor added, the focus is being placed on improving the availability of urban public passenger transport, particularly trains and buses, as well as on massifying the use of gas-powered buses, to mitigate the impact of the new fuel prices on transport.
