Mozambican international Geny Catamo, whose ticket was valued at 600,000 euros at the start of the season, is now listed at 8 million euros, meaning his value has skyrocketed to... 1,233.3%!

Catamo was the hero of the last derby, scoring both goals in Sporting's 2-1 win over Benfica.

According to the newspaper The BallOverall, Sporting Clube de Lisboa's squad has grown in market value by 100 million euros since the start of the season and is now valued at 329 million euros.

Outside of the five biggest European leagues, known as the 'Big 5', Sporting was the team that increased its value the most, according to figures provided by Transfermarkt, a German website that specializes in evaluating players' market values.

The team from Alvalade is in 9th place in Europe, after Bayer Leverkusen, Girona, Stuttgart, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Bologna, Liverpool and Crystal Palace.

The green and white club's market value has grown by almost 100 million euros, from 229.9 million at the start of the season to 329.3 million euros today (an increase of 43.2%).
