Mozambican international Geny Catamo, who plays for Portuguese club Sporting, arrived in Johannesburg on Sunday morning to join the national soccer team as they prepare for the African Nations Championship (CAN) in Ivory Coast.

Catamo was the last "Mamba" to be available for national coach Chiquinho Conde because, at the request of the Leónino coach, Rúben Amorim, he had to play against Estoril last Saturday. Sporting won 5-1.

Catamo missed the first two training matches against South Africa's Tomo Cosmos, in which the Mambas won 6-1, and the 2-0 win against Lesotho. However, he could feature in the next assessment match against Botswana, scheduled for Monday.

The national soccer team travels to Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on Tuesday. They will face Egypt, Ghana and Cape Verde in the group stage.
