The Housing Development Fund (FFH) plans to build more houses for people in need. In fact, consultants will be hired this semester to design another 820 projects in various parts of the country, as part of the "Housing Improvement" project.
In a publication in the newspaper Notícias, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the FFH, Armindo Munguambe, assured that 220 houses are currently under construction throughout the country as part of the "Habita Moçambique" program, in an investment of 700 million meticais, financed by the state.
He added that 32 apartments are at the completion stage in the city of Chimoio, Manica province, in addition to another 25 under construction in the city of Quelimane, Zambezia; 38 in Chongoene, Gaza; 40 in Cabo Delgado; 25 in Tete; and 24 in Nampula.
"We are currently monitoring the work in progress throughout the country in order to ensure greater quality and compliance with deadlines," he concluded.
