Employees of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) paralyzed this morning in the city of Maputo, the activities in protest of delays and other inconsistencies in the salaries paid by the framework of the Single Wage Table (TSU).
An amateur video shows a crowd of MEF employees underneath the ministerial building on Julius Nyerere Avenue, demanding back wages. "We also want our right," it is heard.
The Police of the Republic of Mozambique, who have also been complaining about the wage delay, arrived on the scene to calm things down.
MZNews sources say these are the TSU architects who are also falling victim to the payment "system".
The paralysis seems to have taken place in other MEF offices throughout the country, but it has not yet been possible to ascertain the veracity of the claim.
Recall that this Tuesday, the spokesman for the 37th session of the Council of Ministers said that 81% of the employees have already received their salaries based on the TSU, and that the payment process for all to the state agents would be completed in the next few hours.
