FIKANI 2024: Mozambique presents business opportunities in the tourism sector

FIKANI 2024: Moçambique apresenta oportunidades de negócios no sector de turismo

The city of Maputo will host the 10th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FIKANI) from August 8 to 11, under the theme "FIKANI - Tourism, a Tool for Economic Development and Social Transformation".

Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the National Institute of Tourism, the 10th edition of FIKANI Mozambique will be attended by more than 6,500 visitors, both national and foreign, more than 220 exhibitors and more than 145 stands, displaying products and services, including complementary services for hotels, restaurants, entertainment and travel agencies and tours.

"With the motto chosen for this 10th edition, the aim is to convey to tourism operators and the general public that the travel and tourism industry has the potential and role to contribute to economic growth and development, the impact of which is felt by raising the quality of life of society, which can benefit from jobs, academic and professional training, as well as enjoying moments of leisure," said the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Fredson Bacar, during the launch of the Mozambique International Tourism Fair, FIKANI 2024.

According to the government official, the event will not only provide a unique opportunity for national and international exhibitors and participants to explore business opportunities in the tourism sector, but will also serve as a stage for celebrating Mozambique's diversity and cultural heritage.
