FAO makes 70 million euros available for small farmers in Zambezia and Nampula

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will support 280 thousand small farmers from Zambezia and Nampula provinces, through the Promove AgriBiz program.

The Program, budgeted at 70 million euros, has been under implementation since 2019, in 10 districts of Zambezia and Nampula provinces, and should end in 2024.

The Coordinator of the Promove Agribiz Program, Dario Cipolla, explained to the press that the initiative integrates the production of seeds, concession of small credits for the acquisition of inputs, and training of producers and extensionists from the public service network to transmit knowledge in a participative method.
