President says electricity is a key vector for industrialization and well-being of communities in the country.
Filipe Nyusi was speaking this Monday, at the inauguration ceremony of the electric power system in the administrative post of Ntlavene, Mabalane district, in Gaza.
The Head of State said that by 2024, about 10 million people will benefit from electric current, which will contribute to the improvement of life in the communities.
Filipe Nyusi said that several infrastructures that the government has been building are the result of sustainable and inclusive development, as laid out in the government's Five Year Plan.
According to the Head of State, electric power occupies a central place because of its enormous potential to accelerate the industrialization of the economy and create more job opportunities, especially for young people.
For her part, the governor of Gaza, Margarida Mapanzene Chongo, thanked the enterprise inaugurated this Monday and highlighted the impact of electricity on local development.
The electric infrastructure, inaugurated this Monday, includes 13 kilometers of medium voltage line, construction of five kilometers of low voltage network, assembly of three electric transformation posts and is valued at more than 38 million meticais.
