The Director of Industry and Commerce in Cabo Delgado said today that more than 300 industrial units are back in operation following the reduction of insecurity in the province

"We noticed the opening of 371 commercial establishments and these are signs of recovery of our economy," said Nacif Magaia quoted by Lusa today.

Among the units are factories of various branches, mills, and bakeries, establishments that are located in the districts affected by the terrorist actions.

"These are signs of recovery and restoration of our commercial network," he stressed.

The province of Cabo Delgado is rich in natural gas, but terrorized since 2017 by armed rebels, from the Islamic State.
