United Arab Emirates support displaced people from war in Cabo Delgado

Emirados Árabes Unidos apoiam deslocados de guerra em Cabo Delgado

The United Arab Emirates have promised to send about 20 containers of food, medicine and other materials to Mozambique to assist the victims of the insurgency in Cabo Delgado.

According to the announcement made this Friday by the outgoing ambassador of that country, Khalid Shohail, the support should arrive in Mozambique soon.

"We express our solidarity with the victims of terrorism in Cabo Delgado. The United Arab Emirates has channeled humanitarian support [to the country]. It is a total of 20 containers of food, pharmaceuticals and other materials," said Khalid Shohail who was speaking on the sidelines of a farewell ceremony before Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi, at the end of his mission in the country.
