SADC Ambassadors donate food products to displaced people in Cabo Delgado

The head of the mission of ambassadors from countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), accredited in Maputo, the high commissioner of the Republic of Malawi, Wezi Moyo, delivered yesterday, in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, food and hygiene products, to minimize the needs of those displaced by the terrorist attacks.

This is nearly 1.5 tons of rice, 200 liters of cooking oil, and 30 boxes of soap, provided by the diplomats.

According to Moyo cited by Noticias, the gesture aims to minimize the needs of the displaced, which are numerous, according to the mission's findings in some resettlement centers, in Ancuabe and Metuge.

The work of the SADC ambassadors' mission in Cabo Delgado, which started on February 28th, ended this Wednesday.

The mission aimed to encourage and motivate the SADC Standby Force, which supports the government in the fight against terrorism, to gauge the impact of operations to clear the once-occupied areas, in addition to contact with local government authorities.
