The Minister of Economy and Finance does not rule out the possibility of re-dimensioning the contingency plans designed by the Government, to respond to the humanitarian drama in the central and northern areas of the country following the passage of tropical depression Ana.
The bad weather that affected mainly the provinces of Nampula, Tete, Zambezia, Sofala, Manica, and Niassa, caused mourning and left a trail of destruction of infrastructures.
In the list of damages caused by the storm, the highlight also goes to the destruction of schools, hospitals, and bridges, leaving some families stranded.
Given this situation, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Adriano Maleiane, says that actions are underway in coordination with the Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction, aiming to design strategies to mitigate the impact of tropical depression Ana.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, was speaking this Wednesday in the district of Boane in Maputo province, where he led the ceremony of patenting of officials of the Tax Authority of the Customs Area.
