Chocolate “Kinder Surprise” contaminado está a ser vendido em Mocambique

The "Kinder Surprise" brand chocolate, whose production responsibilityção is from the Italian company "Ferrero", is being withdrawn from the national market by the National Inspection of Economic Activities (INAE) after it was confirmed to be contaminated with salmonella, a bacterium that is harmful to human health.

The decision was made after the "Ferrero" company began recalling 20-gram chocolates or chocolate eggs from three "Easter eggs" packages with expiration dates between July 11 and October 7, 2022, writes the "Noticias" of this Wednesday.

INAE appeals to economic agents and citizens to declare the existence of Kinder products with the dates described above.

"Consumers are asked to report the marketing of products affected by the measure, through INAE's complaint line," reads the institution's statement.

Consumption of salmonella can cause health problems such as diarrhea, stomach pains, vomiting, fevers, and even loss of appetite and weight loss.
