Chelsea may be excluded from competitions if club is not sold

Chelsea pode ser excluído de competições se o clube não for vendido

Chelsea is fighting against the clock to complete the sale of the club by the end of this month, but the Londoners could suffer serious consequences if they don't complete that deal in the coming weeks.

According to Notícias ao Minuto, the sale of the club seemed close to being successfully completed, but Roman Abramovich, still owner of the Blues, has backtracked on his promise to give up the 1.6 billion euros he has invested in Chelsea.

The Russian tycoon said that he would give up the money and use it to help the victims of the war in Ukraine, but reports in the English press indicate that he has changed his mind.

If this sale is not completed by May 31, when the special license granted by the British government to close this deal expires, Chelsea could be excluded from the Premier League and other domestic competitions, as well as international competitions.
