The National Football Team ("Mambas") held their first training session today in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, the venue for the 34th edition of the African Nations Championship (CAN-2023) starting next Saturday, with the participation of 24 national teams divided into six groups of four each.
Until next Sunday, the opening day of the competition, the "Mambas" will iron out the final details, as indicated by the National Coach, Chiquinho Conde, stressing the importance of the players faithfully interpreting the plan to be defined for each game.
The Mozambican delegation to CAN-2023 is made up of 41 members, including players, technical staff, Mambas support staff and journalists.
In addition to the 23 players, the delegation includes seven members of the technical team, three medical staff, one doctor and two physiotherapists. The delegation is led by Martinho "Paito" Mucuana, Vice-President for National Teams, and also includes Jorge Bambo, FMF Vice-President for Administration and Finance.
