The chairman of the board of directors of Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB), Tomás Matola, and the governor of Cabo Delgado province, Valige Tauabo, on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Nonge Health Center in N'gapa, Mueda district.
The infrastructure will consist of an outpatient block with treatment rooms, a pharmacy and a laboratory; a maternity block with two delivery rooms and two bedrooms with a capacity of nine beds; a "mother-in-waiting house" and an incinerator.
This is an investment of 95 million meticais, which will include equipping the hospital with medical equipment and household furniture, thus serving as a response to the challenge posed to HCB by the Office of the wife of the President of the Republic, to set up a health center in the District of Mueda.
