BM apoia Águas de Maputo a melhorar satisfação do cliente

The World Bank (WB) will help Águas da Região Metropolitana de Maputo (AdRMM) to implement an operational model that prioritizes the customer, in terms of satisfaction and convenience in service delivery, aiming to increase the levels of service and sustainability.

In fact, a World Bank team met recently in Maputo with members of the AdRMM Board of Directors, including the company's management collective, to address emerging issues in management processes, namely planning, commercial, human resources, Accelerated and Integrated Loss Reduction Program (PAIRP), finance, production, maintenance, projects and investment.

The meeting aimed to establish a neutral framework to assess the economic impacts, continuous evolution technology, environmental management and the gender strategy in place at AdRMM, which will enable the equation that integrates the companies of the future ("Utility of the future"), in response to Goal 6 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Faced with the new paradigm on Water System Security (WSS), the study team combined a variety of skills in economic and quantitative engineering modeling, with a sophisticated understanding of the complex interactions in the enterprise.

In diagnostic method, the parties brought valuable knowledge and experiences in a real context to the study.

The diagnosis observed the processes listed above and culminated with a report that defines the strategy for action of 100 days, in a first phase, serving as a basis for the preparation of a set of actions to be implemented in five years with the support of the multilateral banking institution.

With this exercise, we hope to integrate the management processes into a platform that allows us to respond resiliently to the challenges of operating under any exogenous conditions of cyclones, wars, price changes in the capital markets, among other scourges that may condition the operation of water supply systems.
